Sad news for you Chrysler boys

Bunch of BS I think. Chyrsler affraid of the liability issues because of the BS our court system allows to happen.....
I don't see why they don't auction the cars off instead, thats what Ford did a few years back with the concept cars like the Indigo and the Mustang Mach III.

Some dumbasses fucking over the rest. A couple were involved in wrecks from kids hotrodding around in cars that are not street legal. The worry of liability lawsuits is just like the worry of the "micro-agressions" on campuses round the country. Alot of overreactions because of selfish worry of what others may think if you didnt overreact in such manner is making the world a shitty place to be. Im sure some of these cars will strangely disappear before the crusher gets to em!

This is not uncommon. It's not overreaction. Cars that are assembled, disassembled, assembled, disassembled, and on, and on........in training centers are eventually crushed. These cars are too much liability from the standpoint that a bunch of students worked on them. Seeing as the manufacturer is the one who owns the machine and donated it for training, they have every right to do it. Does it suck to see? Sure. Would I go over the car and make sure it's safe to drive? Absolutely. But I'm not on the hook if something goes wrong. And I didn't invest the time and resources into the car.

Well from the way it sounds, in this case it is because of the actions and accidents that some students have been involved in that spurred the order. Like Stalker had mentioned, its more common and appreciated when the rare cars are auctioned or sold to collectors so they can be preserved. I suppose its understandable that a Rachel Maddow loving, bleeding heart liberal like you Tux doesnt bat an eye at this because its not a hybrid so its not worth saving.

Re: Sad news for you Chrysler boys
It wasn't true...
The car's got crushed, yes, but they were not special, they were not limited editions, they were not significant in any way. Also, they had been taken apart and reassembled thousands of times, which actually lowers their value. Furthermore, there was never any accident, no lawsuit, no settlement, etc. Chrysler released this a day or two after the original article:
