I don't know if it exists, but I would like to improve our race format.

Currently, we run 2 heats, and its a blast when it works. So we qualify, and then run race 1 immediately after. We back out of the race lobby after race one, but we stay in the main lobby. We run a 1 lap race to set the field position from race 1, and then run race 2 with an inverted order.

Forza servers suck though and makes this transition a pain in the ass.

How else can we do this? The lobby keeps track of points even if you turn it off inbetween races so we can't just invert the order and run race 2, as it keeps track of points from the qualifying and the first race, so it screws up the positions for race 2.

Any other remedies for this?

Do a warmup lap. Then have everyone go to the 3rd-person view, and realign on the grid as close as they can to the start boxes. Line up in the order you need, someone calls the standing start that way.

Or, you could turn off damage, make the race laps total two heats worth of laps, and do a mandatory red flag and reorder the grid that way. It definitely sucks you need to find a workaround when we're all paying for a service.

How about the old fashioned way? Write down the finishing order from the first race and have a rolling start to the second race, inverting the field manually.

And I feel your pain Roscoe, bumped and was not able to connect myself.

Check your NAT people, make sure it is OPEN.

It does suck due to the first race working like a charm.

I think that just manually resetting the grid is the most logical. For countdown we could use the in game clock? Dunno if its different for everyone or not but the total time I believe is the same for everyone.

As for points, for those that couldn't connect to the second race maybe they all receive 10th place points?

11th would stick with the rules from before. Either way, you won't be left with nothing due to connection issues. But like Max said, read the thread and check your shit. EVERYONE.

I do like that timer idea by Smus... be worth trying or testing out.
