What is the rule on cars such as the Ford Falcon XB? More specifically to my question, what about the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500? Reason being, the Merkur XR4ti was based on the Ford Sierra. It has a 102.x wheelbase, rwd...would it be legal to run as a modified Merkur?

I set one of those up for AI rules and it was pretty damn competetive with my 00 R, not the top end that my Stang has, but it handles very well.

I didn't originally qualify cars like the 1973 Ford XB Falcon but if I recall correctly, I was going to allow Tux to race the 2005 Vauxhall Monaro instead of the 2006 Pontiac GTO because the Pontiac doesn't have a roll cage upgrade. Could I open up the field to Vauxhall (European G.M.)? I suppose I could.

I have A.I. tunes for both the '87 and '92 Ford "hot hatches." I created 2L & 2.3L builds for each car, all four tunes are in your Forza File Depot.

So just to clarify, the foreign cars of American company's and their subsidiary company's are, or are not legal in AI if they meet the wheelbase and power requirements?

Or is it on a case by case basis.

I have to be careful here because it potentially opens the flood gates to all sorts of other makes: Ford has/had Volvo, Mazda, Jaguar, etc. G.M. has/had Holden, Subaru, Vauxhall, Opel, Saab, etc. My ruling is no, unless substituting the Vauxhall Monaro for the Pontiac GTO.

Alright, well I must argue for the Ford Sierra.  It is a direct product of Ford Motor Company.  It shares the same chassis as the USDM available Merkur XR4ti.

Also, to the point you made about allowing other product from Ford/GM, I believe the rules state that the car must be made from an amAmerican Mmanufacturer, so that would immideatly eliminate both Volvo and Mazda as they are Swedish and Japanese of origin.

I would think the Sierra is ok, since it is listed on the line up from Ford. Its not listed under FPV or Euro Ford, its straight up a Ford product.

Oh yeah. The Sierra isn't an issue and I was hoping somebody would select it.

I'm thinking that I might run the Sierra in AI this coming season.  Good to know all good!
