New Header Image

Post  Simcik on Tue Jan 22, 2013 6:07 pm

So, I had some down time at work and decided to make a vector image of our logo. Looks nice a clear, no matter what size I want it.

Anyway, the nice thing, since I now have a vector image version, I can make very, very nice things like (real) vinyl decals, t-shirts, etc. I'm thinking about making a decal for myself using the laser cutter at the school. If I do, I'll let ya know how it goes.

Oh, yeah, F4RR logo's on the side of the Sebring - hell yeah! Haha...

Anyway, the image at the top should look a little more clear now. And I am considering going ahead and making the rest of the characters for "Forza Font," since it doesn't exist outside the game. Could be useful?

Anyway, if you want a copy for a shirt or something, let me know and I'll send it to ya.

That would be awesome, especially if we were to wear them say, at an ALMS or other local event? I'd wear one to events here at Sears Point and Laguna Seca, or to Lime Rock if I'm back in Maine when an event is scheduled.

I would caution one thing though: It is fairly close in design to the real Grand-Am logo and I know using it digitally is one thing but to create a tangible copy is another.

My understanding is that it is modified, and therefore not the same. Furthermore, it wouldn't be for profit, which usually gives you licence to do what you want with it. Usually.

OR,

We could make our own logo? Moreso our own than the current one?

If you got an idea, go for it! Here's the rule - you have to make it in the Forza livery editor, not just on an image editor. And, it needs to be no more than 100 layers. If you want, go for it and post your ideas here.

Furthermore, http://www.cafepress.com/cp/customize/product2.aspx?number=774698763

Keep in mind, this is just using a low-res .jpg image for the front. Using the actual image (which is on my work PC) would look better and be larger.

We use this place for our SAE club. It's a PAYGO site, it's expensive, but it lets each person order what they want, when they want it. You can also customize stuff quite a bit. If I make the rest of the Forza font, I can make the text in my drawing program, then just upload the image. Anyway. Check it out. I like the slogan - I'm adding it to the website. I just came up with it. If you don't like it, let me know.

Check this out. It's not very high quality either, but not bad for 5 minutes of work.
