Re: NASCAR Discussion
Wow! Kasey Kahne's spotter just gave the race away! Good call, when you say "clear high", that means there's no car high.

Re: NASCAR Discussion
Well the spotter meant clear "high" as in above the race car not clear "high groove". But its ok because its a common misconception that most never pick up on. Kaseys spotter knows the difference but not Kasey lol. Lots of good cars got screwed by that too! Although I dont care that Edwards got the worst of it.

Why would you make it three wide at Martinsville? Why? 2 laps to go with better tires, you have opportunity. Instead, dive bomb turn 1! I'm lookin' at you Bowyer.

So today dispelled a few myths
- Contrary to a handful of songs, it does rain in southern California
- Rain during a closed street course event means even A.L.M.S. will red flag qualifying

Congrats to Team Corvette for the big win at Long Beach. It was starting to look like the Bimmers were going to dominate again this season.

Ha and it was awesome to watch even after losing a hood and 70% of the wicker bill on the rear wing that that Vette was keeping up with his teammate and the bimmers. Best part for me was hearing the announcers boast about SRT Vipers will be running some events later in the ALMS season! I know it will make Simcik, Smus and myself happy campers! Although I expect some growing pains just like when Team Vette began their first year back in the 2000s. Still I was digging the idea of a 'Merica vs 'Merica battle! We are comin for your Vettes Tux

That's all good! More competition means better racing. How about Sharp's pass? Beautiful.

THE DINGERS ON THE POLE!!! <------------ gee that sounds rather gay dont it haha. But Harvick is P2 so this means he is fast already but seems that when he starts up front he either wins or goes way backward at the green flag drop. Seems he has starting 32nd and fighting throughout the race to finish in the Top 5-10 down pat so maybe he shouldnt F with it cause he started way up front at Martinsville and look what happened there.... Led early and then disappeared to become a non factor.

Yowza! I had no idea the Busch brothers were inconsiderate dumbass retards. Line 'em up single file, butt to nut, and one .50 caliber round on a trajectory through their brain stems will do this planet good.

They're not bad enough to execute, however they both evoke frustration. I read that article, I think he's doing himself an injustice by stereotyping the entire sport and fanbase.

Re: NASCAR Discussion
On FB, the Speed page asked which racing series has the best qualifying, it was F1, NASCAR, MotoGP, a few others...either way, Nascar was winning like 3-1 in votes over F1. Now, i know the steriotypical Nascar fans dont care for F1, but I was floored that F1 was losing. Ive watched Nascar qualifying...i dont mind watching it like i dont mind watching golf. It has its moments but is pretty dry for like 2 hours. Im sure that none of them voting for Nascar quali had never seen an F1 quali...just something i found entirely interesting.

Re: NASCAR Discussion
I think you nailed it on the head Smus. There are moments that NASCAR qualifying is exciting, but most of the time it's dry. But people that really love NASCAR will pick it over the other forms that they don't like as much. Just as you like F1 the most, regardless of what they're doing. Personally, I like any road racing qualifying the most. When NASCAR goes to Watkins Glen, Infineon, Road America, and Gilles Villeneuve the qualifying is more exciting than usual.

Re: NASCAR Discussion
I have been wishing for years that Nascar would give a bonus for pole. I say give a bonus point for Pole or even 2 for pole and 1 for outside Pole but under current points format 2 may be a lil steep but atleat make it one Point so that there is incentive for qualifying on point rather than the "Oh let's just try to get a decent spot but not try to hard" attitude that all the top 35 have because of that rule. I don't mind the Top 35 rule but it has its drawbacks and the lack of interest in qualfying is a big one.
And man everyone was up and down and all over the baord last night. Carl screwed himself but if he was told he was on point then why would he have not argued about his placement on the outside knowing hed be hung out to dry most likely? I think he jumped to early either way because the window is the window and you can't jump it.

Re: NASCAR Discussion
Man there may have only been 16 total cars out there but I still had a freakin blast working the draft and seeing who was able to work with who in an attempt to knife through the pack of brain dead stupid AI cars haha. Can you guys imagine just how freakin sweet itd be to have 43 cars out there instead?!?! Hope by Forza 52 we can have a full field but probably not till Forza 67 on the Xbox 92160.... I wanted to take a bunch of pics but I was hooked on watching the crap ton of epic moves and close calls we all had. I did manage to click off this pick of Tux leading the field into turn 1 on lap 3 with me hooked to his bumper and Harlen and co giving chase. Lol and when things didnt go my way I still had fun F**king Wendhl, Ross and the other D-bag AIs worlds up in full on stockcar battle royale!
