The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn are two of the leading historic destinations in the country. Ford Motor Company is sponsoring a Motor Muster there next weekend. What car do they choose to show on their large promotional banners out front and on their website… ? The 1962 catalog picture of the car's Palm Springs reception with Raymond Loewy in the background. [R.L. is the man in the dark striped gold colored coat.]

The Avanti would have been Mustang before Ford's Mustang, had Studebaker stuck around. It gets even more interesting when we dig deeper and discuss the Studebaker designer whose design lost to Raymond Loewy's. He took his losing design and was hired by Ford. Studebaker blueprints show this man's design; they look eerily similar to the '64 Mustang.
