Congrats! What model did you get? I knew I should have jumped on the Hero3 when I saw it for $200. Now it's $400 at Best Buy. Oh well, maybe next year I'll get one.

Nice acquisition Josh. Do you have an exposed roll bar in the Bronco? Pick up the roll bar mount.

Rem., starting with the Hero3 GoPro has offered different trim levels for it. There is a $200 option for a Hero3 … unless you missed the Black edition selling for $200, that would have been a steal of a price.

Hero3 White Edition: $199.99 (GoPro says it replaces the original Hero camera)
Hero3 Silver Edition: $299.99 (GoPro says it replaces the Hero2 camera)
Hero3 Black Edition: $399.99 (GoPro says it's the most advanced Hero camera)

All Hero3s are compatible with the GoPro app. and include built-in Wi-Fi which neither the Hero nor Hero2 had. The trio of Hero3 cameras differ in their image capturing (both stills and motion), resolution, frequency, etc.

Edit below:
Here's a story on GoPro from a bay area news station.

Considering I saw a suction cup mount on the front bumper of a Porsche at Road America, and the guy was cookin' around the track, and it held real good, I think you'll be in good shape. He says to make super sure the surface is pristine clean and you're golden.

The 3M sticky mounts are better though the suction cup mount is great. GoPro rates the suction cup mount to 150+ MPH as it'll stick to airplane surfaces; airplane surfaces, as in the single engine propeller driven ones. +1↑ Cleaning the area under the suction cup is the key.

I only had one issue with my suction cup and that was this summer at my dad's place. There's a pond on the property and while kayaking on the pond, the whole assembly fell off and went *kaplup!*. Luckily, and I do emphasize luckily, I was in a shallow section of the pond (I didn't know it at the time). I had my dad take me to a sporting goods store to buy goggles (which I wound up not needing). I swam to where I lost the camera, waded and moved my hands through the silt. I found it after a few minutes. I had used it on the kayak before and after that time and it stuck.

If anything just tether it in case it somehow comes loose so you don't run it over.

Tethers. These tether the camera to your mounting surface.
Mounts. One of the above tether mounts is shown. The orange rubber piece is a quick release buckle and helps secure the camera if you use the 3M sticky mounts.

WELL SHOOT. I've got dents in my Bronco, as well, I wonder if it'll work on metal. I'll tell ya later when I try.
