Club tracks can be tons of fun and they host some amazing events. Thunderhill was used in the '04 Super Bowl commercial debuting the Ford GT and it plays host to a 25-hour race every December. Club tracks don't have the same draw as pro tracks though club tracks are where many drivers get their start. Club tracks are also where you'll find proportionately more street cars built into race cars compared to purpose built race cars.

Since the streets of Long Beach are obviously unable to be used before race weekend, some of the teams found tracks surrounding the area for testing.

Buttonwillow Raceway Park is in southern Cal. It's a club track with more configurations than Forza's previous Sidewinder Proving Grounds / Test Track Infield. If BRP is good enough for ALMS teams, it's good enough for Forza.

Gran Turismo 5 displays the newly rendered C7 at Willow Springs (another club track). Kaz. Yam. races in the 25-hr. event, I have a feeling he's beginning to see the value of the "grassroots" tracks.

I've rode passenger in a race prep factory stock SN-95 Cobra on Willow Springs, it was a lot of fun.

That car's engine was essentially a stock 5.0 making around 250 HP, but it still was able to hit 140 by the end of the long straight.
