Yep. Boo! Speed Channel (as removed as it was from Speedvision) was still the channel to turn to for racing. Now what? Now racing will have to share time with college sports, soccer, and UFC.
Will Velocity step up and fill the emptiness left by Speed? What will become of Speed 2? Are racing fans going to be forced to stream everything?

Someone on Allpar was commenting the other day that Mopar NASCAR fans should check out the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series - except he didn't know where or if it was broadcast. So, yeah, all this racing and no coverage.
Really, there needs to be a motorsports network. Just motorsports. No damn car shows, no reality shows, no commentary shows, just racing, 24/7. Oh, wait, wasn't there something called Speedvision???

Geoff Speed2 was created in the wake of the Fox Sports takeover. The idea was for Speed Channel fans to move over to Speed2 and then Fox could take over the Speed Channel to rebrand the channel as a multi sports channel but still get to show all the Speed Channel shows that had good ratings. If Comcast would hurry up and get Speed2 then Im all on board for this cause there will be alot of online onDemand functionality built into it.

On-Demand is great - IF you have a good high-speed connection. What about us folks that live in the country? These media companies are moving more and more digital, on-demand, and always-on, and yet the infrastructure hasn't changed??? I'm sorry, but I think it would make more business sense to them to make sure everyone can get what they already offer than to spend money on something only a few markets can carry...

Sim sadly youre the guy that gets screwed. Youre also the minority in the situation. Most of the country has high speed connections that can handle HD streaming and downloading. Shoot in my town of 45k people we are getting 50mbps blast as the upgrade for free this month and the option for up to 105. And Im not in a densely populated area. In my town of 320 people back in Nebraska that was 20 min from the closest small town we still had the option of up to 12mbps. So for the most part the country has the ability to utilize the streaming. Your area is an isolated case where at the moment technology has yet to catch up. Cant blame Speed2 for that. Its not their fault your area sucks for internet. Simple supply and demand along with cost of integration compared to profitability.

What if. maybe. just maybe. FOX just takes all the good shows from Speed and just showcases them as the "auto racing" segments on Fox Sports whatever... and it kinda weeds out the shitty programs such as "Dumbest stuff on derpaderp face" and other crap like that. ?

In a way that is what will happen Josh. With all the sport specific highlight shows and Fox Sports Network version of SportsCenter, you will see the "Dumbest" style filler shows dissipate because they dont get as high ratings. You know that Nascar Race Hub and RaceDay will still be on all the time.
