Someone rather famous was racing the Datsun 510 at this year's event.

Well, it's that time of the year again. I read a post from a friend of mine that it started snowing during qualifying. Someone else commented, "It's time to break out the studded R-compounds." So, Turn 10, some people would like a complete night cycle and rain. How about adding snow flurries to that list?

[Times shown are PST] And here's a screen cap. for the forecast tomorrow; race starts at 11A.

It definitely does. I'm not there though the temps here are not much better so venison chili may be on the dinner menu in a night or two.

Mazda is streaming their cameras from the 25. Whenever you catch it, it is (or at least was at time of this writing) possible to rewind the feed and watch the start of the race.

Thunderhill has been busy with a track extension. They now have a second complete pit and paddock.

It used to go from turn 9 and head through what's numbered 23 to what is now numbered 24 (old turn 10). I guess that was not good enough for them and they wanted to be longer (now 5 miles). This was probably warranted due to the size and attention they continually pull each year for the 25-hour race.

They missed a corner... 25 and 26 should be very close...

I think 25 gets a 25 and a 25a.

Dave is superstitious so the track skipped 13.
[Now insert my play as A Dose of Buckley]. I agree there should be a 13th corner because if you're counting you're not allowed to miss things on purpose. I mean, what the fuck? So just because I don't feel like counting I have zero penises and one testicle? Or maybe I only have 6 fucking fingers because I didn't feel like counting the other two and my two opposable thumbs. If he's such a superstitious prick, he should just do as the Europeans do and apply names to corners, not numbers.
