Setting Up Your Profile

Setting Up Your Profile
By now, you should have registered for the forum using your XBox Live Gamertag. If you haven't please do so! You don't have to use the same e-mail or password you use for XBL, but the Gamertag needs to be the same.
Once you've logged in, start setting up your profile. You don't have to include all your personal information, but knowing where you're from, when your birthday is, and other basic information like that is nice.
After you've done the basics, it's time to move on to your avatar. Locate the correct tab and open the Avatar editing section. We'll be linking it to your XBox Live avatar, so take note of where it says "Link to an Off-Site Avatar." We'll come back to this later.
To finish the linking process, start by opening another tab in your browser and going to the Forza Motorsport Forum and loging in to your profile.
Once you are logged in, right-click on your avatar in the upper right corner of the screen. A menu will appear, with "Properties" at the bottom. Left-click on "Properties."
Once you have clicked on properties, and information box will pop up. Midway down the information, you will see "Address," with a web address next to it. Left-click on this address to move your cursor there. Once you have moved your cursor, press "CTRL+A" to select the entire address.
Once selected, press "CTRL+C" to copy the entire address.
After copying the address, return to the new American Iron forum and move your cursor to the box in the Avatar section of the Profile Editor that we located earlier. Once your cursor is in this box, press "CTRL+V" to paste the address to the box. Once that is completed, click "Save" to save your profile and avatar information.
By linking the new American Iron forum's avatar to your XBox Live avatar, it will be easier to recognize racers and will provide for more continuity. Also, by linking the avatars as we have done, any time you make a change to your avatar on your XBox, it will also be updated on the forums.
