Are there options in iRacing to hold endurance events? If so, I see this consuming lots of time.

You can set races by time or laps, the biggest problem is that if you do time and have practice beforehand you only have a total of I think 240 minutes. So you'd have to either fit in practice before, or in the same session and have it cut into your race time. Even still, it costs $2 to host a race and you have the server for 240 minutes which is awesome for the price.

And, they just added team racing!

Team racing? So now the game can score teams accordingly? That should be pretty sweet.
