GT and GTS Rounds 5 and 6 Sebring Full Pwcban10

The GT Porsche of Sainted grabbed the pole at Ladera for Race 1 but couldn't hold off the Cadillac of Moe and Nissan GTR of PiiHB who took first and second. PiiHB's Hawk Nissan GT-R nabbed the pole for Race 2 as well but when he was battling for the lead with Moe they made contact going into the final corner allowing Sainted's 911 GT3 to slip past followed by Manuel in his K-Pax McLaren 12C GT3 and Roscoe's Cadillac CTS-V. Patience rewarded the top 3 in Race 2 and the pure handling track looked to favor the handling cars but thanks to the amazing work done by the steward and his competition directors we saw every car battling for the win on this tight track. Missing this week was Bulin's Volvo, he has vowed to return to battle for wins and give all these drivers some stiff competion.

In GTS Mitsubishi came out on top in Race 1, with JP winning race one and Blakey taking second after Wolfpack's Blackdog Speed Shop Camaro spun on lap one. The Lancer's also took double podiums in Race 2 to finish out a strong weekend for Mitsubishi. Wolfpack rallied with an amazing comeback to finish fourth in Race 1 and then in Race 2 he continued where he started Race 1 by starting on pole and winning the race. Compass 360's DirtyDawg and Realtime's Oddball both showed great speed this weekend . Sounds like Ladera was a tough track for some GTS cars with Simcik Racing and the Blackdog Speed Shop Camaro of Veteran being unable to finish Race 1 and proving catastrophic for Simcik because it is a private team and they are unsure if they will have the engine from SRT ready in time for Sebring.

Monday will be all about speed, speed, speed at Sebring and will benefit some of the drivers that have felt their power was unable to shine last week at Ladera. The GT field is so close right now so the drivers and teams will have to work extra hard to get on the podium, while the GTS group should see quite a few drivers moving up after poor showings early on. Squid will be making a permanent move to the Atlantic Autosport/Arrington Performance SRT Challenger 392R and, along with Roush Racing's Stalker, plan to ramp up their effort this weekend to catch up to the field.

Racing Note: Sebring is a high speed course with some tight low speed and high speed technical sections. Some drivers may need to be extra cautious in these technical back and forth "esses" to limit potential roll overs on the inside curbing.

Some good action at Sebring.  Was great for SRT to put the power down and give the field my taillights.  Hope Laguna goes the same way.
