Forza Motorsport has a rating system using the letters A through F, S, some alphanumeric R classes, and X. What can we spell using those letters (skipping the alphanumeric ones)? Badass is one word available and to make it plural, badasses is another.

The rules are simple: Select as many cars (factory bone stock) in each class as you have available class letters in the word. You'll only have one B class car, one D class car, and one E class car, though you have two A class cars and three S class choices.

Okay Sim, I know you have a love for Mopar. What would be your "B" lineup? Your "B" lineup where you don't play your starters and let's limit you to two Chrysler/Mopar/Fiat corp. cars in this "B" list.

I know Squid has a secret admiration for the NSX, I'm curious if he'll insert one in his list.

I'd like to see what your list of cars would be if a minimal number of Chrysler products fit that list.

You like the Pentastar, I get that. How about the Tristar (Benz), the Trident (Maserati), a bull (Lambo.), the white & blue propeller (BMW), Hell even a bowtie (Chev.) or the Zoroastrian God of light (Mazda)? I'm not asking you to cross over to the dark side and buy one Razz Take Lancia for example. I doubt I'd ever buy one as their reputation for reliability preceeds them though I feel they're still pretty cool cars.

Screw Mercedes. Those German bastards set my company back 10 years...

Besides, their cars are far too complex, and offer very few real advantages. Case and point the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) on my Ram: It is a Mercedes idea. It replaces the traditional fuse box and relays with a complicated circuit board that monitors the amperage and voltage in all the vehicles circuits (like headlights and such) and acts as a relay/fuse/circuit breaker in the event of a failure. The bad thing is, if there is a surge, the TIPM usually cannot act fast enough to save itself from being fried, and when one circuit dies, the whole unit must be replaced. It's like $800 for the dealer to install it, which they have to do, because even if the unit is replaced, the dealer-accessed-only code on the PCM must be cleared.

Now, on the first version of the TIPM, used after 2003, the vehicles at least turned a light on to tell you that a circuit (like a headlight or brakelight had a malfunction [a bad bulb]), but the new ones do not, so really, what the hell is the point anymore? Bring back the relays!!! Tux should know what I mean. The ignorant dealer I used to work for replaced mine twice, and when it gave me trouble a third time for the same issue, they finally started looking else where and found a loose connector in a headlight socket that was causing the circuit to short and fry the TIPM...

Maserati is owned by Fiat, errgo it too is a Mopar. But I do love the Gran Turismo, especially the Cabrio...

Lambo has never done much for me. They are alright, but I was always a Ferrari fan...

BMW makes good cars, but they are so bland on the inside anymore, they are losing lots of their appeal. The M models are wonders of engineering, and I appreciate them for that, but they don't stand out to me. Beside, most BMW owners are douche bags...

I actually always like the 2nd-Gen Miata, and the 3rd is alright. I'd actually love to make a Monster Miata with a 5.7L Hemi. It will fit, as it is actually slightly smaller than an LS motor. If I did so, I would tweak it to look more like a baby Viper...

Porsches never did anything for me either...

I do actually like the Firebird. Well, some years. I like the last version, and the one from Smokey and the Bandit... Not really a fan of Camaros...

The Buick Regal GS (FWD only version of the Vauxhall Insignia in Forza) is pretty damn nice...

The '67 Chevelle SS is good looking, so is the '65/'66 GTO.

The Shelby Cobra is alright because of what it is, but I don't really want one...

The Pagani Zonda is gorgeous, inside and out!

I always liked the Stealth, so obviously the 3000GT is a favorite too, especially the VR4 Spyder.

The NEW Ford GT is pretty cool, but then again it's 3/4 Viper, so...

The Subaru is Impreza WRX STI is fun to drive, and so is the Mitsubishi EVO...

I like the ideas behind cars like the Noble M600, and the Venom, but not really sure I'd like to own them...

Aston Martins are sexy. If it bought a British car, it would be an Aston.

Lancia is owned by Fiat, so again, it's a Mopar, but the Stratos looks killer...

If I went German, I'd probably go Audi. The RS 4 and RS 5 are nice. Not really a TT fan, and the R8 looks funny to me...

Yep, I just went through all the cars on Forza (granted, a little fast) and that is all I would consider...

I bleed Hemi Orange, man, whadaya expect???

I read where much of his ideas that he learned while at Chrysler were then applied to making the Ford GT..... Don't really see how its mostly Viper, did they ever make a concept mid-engine Viper?

Not that it matters, I guess its a Mopar stab at Ford guys.... Just like me saying the GM LS motor is just the evolution of a small block Ford is a stab at the GM guys......

All in all, they all rape eachother for ideas and "new" products.....

Well if were throwing jabs...

The Viper engine is originally a Lambo unit...

The Corvette design has been copied or inspired from Ferrari,

Yes, kinda... Chrysler owned Lambo during the development of the Viper. One of the Lambo engine designers helped test and tweak the design that became the aluminum block version of the 8.0L.

However, it is a Mopar engine, as it is essentially a 5.9L with 2 more cylinders...

Right, but its vague. The idea of a mid-engine Viper could be what he is saying. Its not like Chrysler built 3/4's of a mid-engine Viper, and then shipped it to Saleen to finish off what then became a Ford GT. I was more curious to see if there was literally a part of the Ford GT that comes from a Chrysler design and/or build. The only thing he says other than what you quoted...

"...there wouldn’t have been a Ford GT if there hadn’t been a Prowler because a lot of things we learned from the aluminum and Prowler, what to do and what not to do, really transferred over."

To me that says from what they learned at Chrysler, they applied to the GT.

Finished my listing. I could've named nothing but American muscle cars, pony cars, and sports cars. I diversified my portfolio though which was difficult because there are a good number of other cars in the game I find fascinating, capable, and cool.

Here's a reply of mine from forzamotorsport.net under the subject "Best English automaker (Aston Martin, Lotus, Jaguar, Bentley, Morgan)". This is how I feel about acquisitions:
G 70CHEVELLE SS wrote:i do like British cars, but what of all of these iconic classic brands are still British owned?
That's a great question though I don't view it as relevant. I also consider brands like Lexus, Infinity, and Acura to be Japanese. Why? Because their parent founded companies are Japanese. Brands like Jaguar, Aston Martin, TVR, et al. were founded in Britain and that's all that matters in my book. I don't care that Tata motors has a stake in Jaguar now, because Jaguar was founded in Britain.

Too many car companies are gone (some more recent than others): Mercury, American Motors, Saab, Pontiac, Studebaker, Duesenberg, Tucker, and the list goes on … that I look at a car company's start, rather than their current or end. Recently we've been given Fisker and Tesla. Where will those companies be in 5, 85, 190 years? I don't really care. I care about their start, where they dug-in and called home.

The Ford GT also had roots connected to their Jan. '95 prototype GT90 [which consisted of XJ220 components because Ford had Jag.] Ford GT designer would love another crack at the GT90 -Jalopnik. There are lots of sources (spiritual and physical) crammed into the 2004 - 2006 Ford GT.

United Sports Car Racing starts next year / the ALMS GT2 class was left alone / Corvette and Viper represent the U.S. / Robertson Racing can no longer compete / I'd like Ford to come out with something and join that fray in 2015-ish.

-------------------

Oh yes, and with the reworking of the PI structure in Forza 5, expect a "B A D A S S E S" series there. It'll feature eight cars of your choosing at eight different tracks. More details to come after Forza 5 releases.
