blood plasma.

Seriously though...I'm going to have a hard time deciding between running AIX again or AI.

Date and time are correlated with Trans-Am. The T/A race will be Sunday and I want to give those unable to race Sunday an opportunity to have fun and kill time until Forza 5 arrives. I'm considering the Thursday or Friday evening time slot for American Iron season II which will be raced in Forza 4.

I know for a fact Geoff never liked the idea of converting a FWD car to fit in but he did so to appease your Mopar fandom.   Fact is that car should not be in AI.  Doesnt fit if you ask me.  Id rather see you run something proper instead of fudging a car in.  And remember Sim youre not a steer so we all know that makes you....

Might have to run AIX.  2013 Charger and 300C both work if you don't want to go the Challenger route...I had a lot of fun with the Charger.

Are we down for using the bucket trick to allow the heavier/more powerfull cars to run AI?

I can fine tune that trick as well, and do some testing with some people.

Stalker, yes. Let's give everything the race weight reduction and place those required into a -n% bucket.

Edit follows:
I can't rule out the Neon because there are other cars which require a drivetrain swap I would like to leave in. Perhaps with the -n% option, people can select a car which doesn't need a drivetrain swap to be legal?

Some of the Mopar builds I've done with the bucket trick are pretty fast. The 12' Charger was much faster than I was expecting it to be. I think there are more suitable options now, so the need for the neon is obsolete.

The 06 Charger might be a better option.  I had both the 06 and the 12 Charger and the 06 is far behind in terms of both power and suspension, so it might fit the AI mold a little better.

Well, I may be in the minority here, but this is what I feel:

I really don't want AI2 to be another cookie-cutter series. Let me explain that:

Rolex featured cars that were made to be very close to each other. Similar builds and parts, etc. The cars had some unique characteristics, but not many, and there was no build flexibility. FMROC was a spec series. PWC was the same as Rolex, but far more refined. The cars were closer, so it felt more like a spec series at times, eventhough the cars were different. The GTS series isn't a spec series, but cars are similar and again there is no option for different build configurations, as most cars are already in the game.

The nice thing about AI is that there are limits and rules in place, but there is a bunch of flexibility. If someone wants to sacrifice power for handling, they can. If they want power, they can have it, but their car must weigh more and will probably handle more poorly. So, from track to track, and even turn to turn, the cars are much more different. Quite franly, I like this more. It rewards you for taking chances with your build and it makes the racing more diverse. There's a whole lot more skill/racecraft involved racing cars that aren't the same as each other. It's one more variable.

Does that mean one car might win all the time or be that much better? Sure. But that's where the bucket comes in. Real-world series use the same system. They let you experiment, try something new, and only reign you in AFTER you've shown an unfair advantage.

So, please don't remove the Neon. (Or anything for that matter.) Please don't force people to go with low-weight, low-power builds if they don't want to. Let the real-life rules (power-to-weight, wheelbase, power-adders, etc.) do the governing. Let this series be the most diverse. We've got plenty of series with similar cars.

PS: I'm all for using the -X% trick, but please be aware that that could be an issue with penalty buckets. AND - you can't practice in the buckets if you are offline. (So no test-n-tune in test drive, and no Hot-Lapping [No ghost, no rewind].)

Well, that's my two cents, anyway...

There is still flexability within the builds.

You can choose what wheels, different aero, different exhaust options, all those affect the weight which will in turn change the power output.

You would still rather run a 4 banger neon that needs to have a drivetrain conversion, than a Charger or Challenger with a restrictor?
