Not sure if any of you liked the Simcity games. This one looks pretty sweet. It comes out tomorrow 3/5/13. I loved Simcity 2000. I think I had if for PS1 if I'm not mistaken.

Whoa, I was not told of this. What is this City of mine of which you speak? And where are the other 4? Hmmm, think someone owes me some royalties...

Simcity ('89) was fun and there were a plethora of other 'Sim' games. One you won't find listed is Sim Refinery. Maxis coded it special for Chevron executives.

I had City, Earth, Ant, and Life. And then I became interested in cars and other sports.

This looks pretty cool.

So uh, I am hearing from people that you must be online to play the game / there's no offline mode and EA's servers are busy taking a shit.

Do not buy this game yet; please allow Electronic fArts to sort out their gastrointestinal server issues. 6 months down the road it may be a pretty cool game.

Amazon has removed SimCity from their site. Now you know it's bad!

Way to go EA, way to go cheers

Glad I didn't buy it, I may try to download it or try a demo or something but yeah, not buying it. Pretty much boycotting anything EA comes out with, I seriously dislike them as a whole.

LOL! Check out this company, STEAM.

They're poking fun at EA, that Steam's games may be played offline.
Steam just slashed prices for games in the same category as SimCity; new deals until SimCity comes online.
I am really liking Cities XL: http://store.steampowered.com/app/231140/

Oh yeah, and here's a conversation between someone and a customer service rep. He wanted this message to go viral:

Tom's Hardware grades SimCity one month later. I like the choices this writer used for the Table of Contents
Tom's Hardware wrote:You can’t edit terrain, at all. EA Redwood Shores, which is where SimCity was developed, sits on a patch of land south of the San Mateo Bridge in California, on terrain that has been highly edited in real life. The irony is palpable.
Redwood Shores would not exist without terrain manipulation.
Tom's Hardware wrote:Recently, EA won a “Worst Company in America” award for the second consecutive year.
Time for sarcasm: Does anyone have a copy of the new SimCity? Mail it to me, I could put it in a trébuchet and fire it back at EA from I-101.
