This is freezing to the L.A. folk.

My sister posted this video with the comment, "Yes we're pathetic, but you know you're a little jealous..."

As someone who lives 30 minutes from Milwaukee, I had to laugh. I do enjoy visiting the wimpy states, I visited my mom in Kansas a year or so ago, it was 52 outside and everyone was in winter jackets, looked like the freezing apocalypse was happening. I was walking around in a t-shirt enjoying the warm weather. It was, after all, about 5 to 10 degrees back home.

It's funny how the body adapts. Here in PA, we have four, pretty well defined seasons. At the beginning of winter, it feels cold, but a week or two later, you're used to it. At the beginning of summer, same thing, it feels hot, but you get used to it. Look at extreme cases of adaptation. Case in point: the Sherpas. They can climb Everest without oxygen and with less supplies. All 29,029 feet of her. Shit, a mile higher, and you could touch a 747.......Yeah, Everest is friggin' awesome.....so are Sherpas.

Haha - we only have two seasons most years. Really fuckin' hot and really fuckin' miserable. Sometimes, we get a few nice days in between...

Haha Ive had the windows cracked at night here and its been close to 20 last few nights. I love cold dry air. So much better on my shitty bones that creak and crack alot then the usual 35 and raining.

Oh yeah, cold and dry is way better. Its like dry heat. Its still fuggin hot but at least its not like 90% humidity and the dew point is 80°.

As I writer this current temp is a balmy 8°. High of 23°
