Anyone Else Read Gawker?

Post  Simcik on Thu Dec 20, 2012 1:01 am

Gawker owns a few blogs, (most notably Jalopnik, Deadspin, Kotaku, & Gizmodo) and for the last few years they have been progressing downward. I used to only read Jalopnik, then I branched out, but wasn't too impressed. Then Jalopnik sold out, and started running stories like the others. Now it's crap. They hardly post car-related shit anymore, let alone anything useful or worth reading...

And then they go out and post something like this:

http://deadspin.com/5969525/constitutional-amendments-ranked?utm_source=jalopnik.com&utm_medium=recirculation&utm_campaign=recirculation

Wow - I mean, just, wow - read the comments. Please, read them, and understand what we are up against. Get your guns ready, fellas - war is coming...

I stopped reading jalop a while ago. They posted up a bunch of stupid stuff from their sister sites and the last straw was an anti F-22 article that had zero facts in it. From the best I can tell it was some random guy that wrote a blog on why he thought we didn't need F-22's. Regardless of whether we need them or not it was obvious from reading the article that he knew absolutely nothing about the topic for which he was writing and that he didn't even bother to try to do any research. After reading that garbage I was done with jalop. On another note does anyone know a good site for getting auto news? I've been using autoblog lately, used to use leftlane.

War is coming but can we stop from fighting amongst ourselves [right vs. left / people may bear arms vs. no they can't / abortion vs. inhumane]? Regardless of your stance on those issues or countless others our enemy is not our peers. Our enemy is akin to this nation's forefathers breaking away from the British crown.

I read through some of those comments and will read through the rest later. I really feel sorry for the people who believe some of the amendments don't apply to recent times. They're amendments to the Constitution; they always apply!

I've already thought about an ideal scenario during and after these events. We the people act upon a Twisted Sister song and decide we're not gonna take it anymore! We convince law enforcement officers and our military that the real enemies hold assorted positions around this country. Collectively we take out the garbage. After the garbage has been removed we strip down all laws to what is written on the Constitution plus the Ten Commandments and we start over from there.

This country has amazing amounts of potential. This potential needs to be unlocked and to be brought out fully. We can make this land a better place to live than it is but it'll take a lot of work.
