Want a Challenger SRT-8 392?
So, Best Buy goofed, and I now have a second DLC code for the 392.
Let the bidding begin...

Re: Want a Challenger SRT-8 392?
Umm, I was going to give it away, unless more people wanted it. Then I was going to make them fight for it like Gladiators for my own personal enjoyment. If the wo my favor, they would receive the car...
Anyway, since evidently no one wants the damn thing, I might put it on eBay for some schmuck who doesn't know the trick...
And Rem, the 392 is the refreshed Challenger. I has an upgraded and retuned suspension front and rear, a few cosmetic tweaks, but the main difference is the motor. Instead of the 425hp/420tq 6.1L that the '08-'11s had, the 392 has a 6.4L Hemi with 470hp/470tq. On the automatic models, the engine is equipped with MDS (Multiple Displacement System) for added fuel economy, manual models do not get this...
Aside from the big difference in peak power figures, the power band (especially the torque curve) was shifted lower in the RPM range. Basically, the 6.4L is built like a truck engine(Which I why Ram is testing it in their new HDs as we speak...), with gobs of torque that starts at a low RPM and stays with you 'til the end. It's blast. It puts the 6.1L to shame, and the 6.1L is a GREAT motor...
Anyway, the 392 name is a retro throwback to the orginal series of Hemi engines (NOT the famed 426, much earlier...) The 392 was actually the largest Hemi engine produced for a production car. Not displacement wise, but physically. It was taller, wider, and heavier than the 426. It was never used in a Challenger, though.
The reason for the 392 designation is two-fold: The 392 is a retro nameplate fitting a retro car like the Challenger, and the 6.4L just so happens to displace 391.XXX inches when the units are converted...
Interestingly enough, the engine is refered to as the 6.4L on every other application. (Charger, 300C, and Grand Cherokee SRT-8.)
