The whole series is not yet ready though I wanted to post advance information.
  • I did what I could to build the cars into the correct time period. As such, racing shall be with anti-lock brakes turned off.
  • Our world has lost tracks over time, tracks such as Riverside (now a strip mall) and Bryar (NH Motor Speedway is paved over its site). Also, Forza doesn't include Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen, V.I.R., Brainerd, Lime Rock, Miller Motorsports Park, you get the idea.
  • Due to the above combination I am considering the insertion of fake and foreign tracks. Twin Ring Motegi East, Sedona Club, Maple Valley Short, and select others are leading candidates.
  • Any fake road course will be raced in a clockwise rotation even if the clockwise rotation is labeled reverse in Forza.
  • The real Trans-Am series raced at Daytona. If Sunset's roval is added it will be raced in a counter-clockwise rotation, just like Daytona's roval.
  • The season shall be 10 to 13 events in length; this is a rough figure though my aim is not to exceed 13 events.

New tracks I hope!! U7O5 only, or a U2 class as well?

Yes you'll see new tracks because I'll have some fake ones included. I'm looking at Iberian full, Sedona Club, and a couple others. See the initial post to learn more track details.

I have some U2 chassis, six of them to be exact. I am currently testing and manipulating the larger class so I'll get to the U2 class after I'm finished. I do enjoy hosting multi-class racing though I am considering a field maximum of six U2 racers and ten O5U7 racers.

I have O5U7 builds though I made an exception. I really wanted to include the 455SD Firebird body into the mix so I am currently testing it versus the other builds in hopes of finding an equalizer. I would love to include the Dart (as the Hillsdale Dodge Dart actually competed) but the version Turn 10 included is already too powerful and too light to make the 7 pounds : 1 horsepower ratio. I also found an earlier Nova to have competed in Trans-Am so I'm working on building up the '66 Nova.

The '69 Z/28 and '70 Cougar are too fast when compared to the rest of the field so I will be pulling the reigns on them; they're coming back to join the rest of the bunch. I have a feeling they'll have a substitution from the race exhaust to sport exhaust as this dials back power and adds weight. This means the '69 Z/28 and '70 Cougar are going to have greater than 7 pounds : 1 horsepower.

For historical accuracy, I know you stated 6 U2 cars would be involved. Through my limited reading as far as I can tell there are only 3 cars that serve to qualify. Those being the Datsun 510, the Alfa Romeo GTA and the Lotus Cortina. You had mentioned the Nissan skyline, which other 2 were you figuring?

I think he meant 6 drivers in the field, not cars.

Smus, the three cars you name are legit. There were some cars (Porsche 911, Austin/Morris Mini Cooper S, Saab, Fiat Abarth, and Volvo) that competed in the real U2 class though they're not available to us in Forza. (GRRRRRR, frustration!) I added the Ford Escort 1800, BMW 2002, and the Nissan Skyline. The BMW 2002 raced in the real T/A U2 class though it wasn't the turbo model. (GRRRRR, more frustration!) I want to add it as an option though it should get the same treatment as the '69 Z/28 and '70 Cougar in the O5U7 class.

Yes, I said both. I happen to have six cars legal for U2 competition and if I host sixteen racers in one room I want to split them six U2 and ten O5U7. That ratio gets 86'd if I end up with more than sixteen competitors.
