Ford tuff with Chevy stuff
Stalker, this is right up your alley. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/3047199019.html The price looks a bit steep though I haven't been actively looking at the fox platform cars lately.
I'm perusing because I'm selling both the Miata and the Volvo before my 5 wk. trip to Maine. Sinking a majority of that cash into the Stude. and will look for something sub-$1000 when I return to Cal.

I throw up a little in my mouth when I see these.....
If you go on the corral.net there is a whole section of guys doing these. I understand why, you can get 4 banger foxes cheap, and get 5.3's out of trucks for cheap and have a bottom 11 sec car for next to nothing. The LS heads are so far ahead of SBF heads that it makes it easy to go this route. You have to damn near spring for High Port TFS heads, or 205cc+ AFR's or TFS TW's to get the same kind of cylinder head flow as a stock 5.3 LS head.
I get it, but I would never do it myself, Ford in a Ford, Chevy in a Chevy. Etc....

There's a FM.net member who has a Chevy small block in a '70s Ferrari. Ferrari made it easy though, as the stock transmission and bellhousing were the same used in G.M. products.
A friend in high school's parents installed an L89 Chevy in a Benz 300TD wagon. The Benz was still registered as a diesel so it never had to pass CA smog.
