Future Cars
Was messin around lookin for some new info on the Viper Pack release date more specific than "Summer" and found these two articles that were kinda odd but neat. First one is that Ford is making a Mustang 4-door and the other is a cool inside look at the development of the new Porsche 918 Spider Hybrid.

You sir, must smoke crack. A 4 door mustang would be great! But just change the front and rear facia, and give it a cool name...like the Ford Eagle or the Ford Panther...OOOOOOORRRR how about the Ford Falcon? It has the F phonetic thing, a falcon is a small and nimble bird of prey...maybe make it look like this? I think it would sell like hot cakes.

Re: Future Cars
You do know that Ford has already used the Falcon namesake for a production car right Smoos? The April Fools day renderings look decent though... I thought the rear pillars reminded me alot of the ones on the Fox Bodies. To me the faux 4-door Stang looks decent the same way the 4-door Charger looks decent.... Not horrible looking but still something isnt quite right

Smus, it's ironic and blasphemous you bring up "Ford Panther" as a potential name for the sedan Mustang. In mid-1966 Chevrolet had no clue what they were going to name their upcoming pony car. Panther was one of the names for what would eventually be known as Camaro. Once the name was chosen, the press and other automakers had fun at Chevrolet's expense, as there are definitions for "camaro" other than what Chevrolet found in a French dictionary.
A sedan Mustang would be interesting. Though yes please, spin it off the Mustang's build sheet and name it something else. Squid, you see Fox body Mustang curves in the rendering? I see recent Charger curves in the rendering, especially in the C-pillar and in the haunches over the rear fender arch.

A 4 door MUSTANG is a horrible idea, I stand by that comment. However, a 4 door Ford sedan that is sporty and V8 powered I am totally down for.

I think V8, RWD, 4-door, manual transmission, American sedans are FANTASTIC ideas! I'll take one. Call it whatever you want. Call it "Ex US Squid" for all I care. I do agree that a Mustang is a Mustang. Call it something else then. Use the chassis and powertrain, that's what Dodge did, i.e. Charger, Challenger.

Re: Future Cars
Dodge sells a helluvalota Chargers. Just sayin'...
Sport Sedans are today's muscle cars. Think about it. Charger, Road Runner, Chevelle, Fairlane, GTO, etc. were all full-size. Many offered sedan cousins. Road Runner is basically a Satellite Coupe. Satellite was offered as a sedan. Same with Chevelle and Mailbu.
But yes, change the name if you do something like this... Dodge managed the lack of doing so by resurecting a dead road name. Mustang is not dead, therefore the argument of bringing it back and assuming it evolved falls short.

Nah, no kink (or shoulder) in the rear fender - not Charger. Vauxall? Yes. G8? Also yes. Falcon from Down Under? Yes, again!
Re: Future Cars
This is where I see some Charger influence, aft of the rear door handle, over the wheel arch there's a crease below the C-pillar. This was an April Fool's rendering by some third party, as Ford isn't going to produce it. I speculate whomever did the digital chopping took influence from an existing muscular sedan and I see more Charger influences than other cars.
