Well that kinda sucks...but im not suprised. Im sure that the May pack will have the Ruf Yellowbird, and some Trans am race cars. Everything that would be awesome..

You bring up an excellent (and debatable) point. We get the Porsche pack on May 22nd. The Porsche pack will be 37-ish cars. Do you suspect there will be a regularly scheduled 10-car pack on the first Tuesday of May, also? That would freakin' rule if we could receive the better part of 50 cars in a three week time frame.

You know, i honestly think they might. The Viper has been e-released showing it on Forza, so that would almost need to be included in a pack very soon. There are tons of people who are really excited about the Porsche expansion, but there will be others who just dont care.

I really wish they could extend out thecDLC packs enough to offer a 2nd season pass. My fear is that there will be so much development required for Horizion that the output for new DLC will be minimal. I hope im wrong but ive just got a feeling.

On another note, if Porsche is back for good and will be in the launch of Forza 3.987332, i really do hope that T10 decided to jeep Ruf on. I like their cars, i think if we can have Noble and Devon and Joss and even Shelby and Saleen as tuning companies, i really do hope they are welcomed back, and even tack Brabus and Alpina to round out the big German tuners.

Well Smoose they said the Viper will be here in the Summer so I wouldnt hold my breath on it coming in May. Also I bet there will be either a May or a June pack to compliment the Metric A$$ load of Porsche cars but only one or the other. After seeing the way they name dropped the Viper so early I am beginning to feel that Turn 10 most likely has just about all the cars we will see in the next 6 months already scanned and ready to be dumped out on the Forza Market and they are just biding time rather than attempting to scan and implement 10 (or so) cars on a monthly basis. One car that Id be interested in seeing from Porsche is that new 918 Hybrid RSR that has the KERS.

I hope you're wrong. Turn 10 partnered with Playground Games, a company of more than 100 employees now devoted to Forza: Horizon. I would bet Turn 10's involvement is mostly at the upper management levels in electronic and physical mailing, and conference calls; Turn 10's main focus should be improving the Forza Motorsport series.

I also wonder this- what if the downloadable content we've seen so far were cars that didn't command a premium or didn't fit anywhere else? Premium cars wouldn't be smart to release during the season pass. The season pass was six months worth of downloadable content for $29.99 and each pack has been 560 MS points ($7). Season pass buyers received $42 worth of cars for $30, a net savings of nearly two free months. The lack of a season pass now means no discounted cars.

Turn 10 must have completed cars in a buffer/queue. Hell, we've seen the 2013 Viper exemplified using in-game footage. Who's to say that other cars aren't ready to go? Who's to say that Simcik isn't right [about a Trans-Am pack]? He read about it somewhere and if it was on the Forza Central website, administrator BadNed is fairly reliable at hinting. How about an ALMS GT-class ZR1? Turn 10 & ALMS are partnered and the GT-class Lamborghini came in January. Turn 10 & Pirelli are partnered too. World Challenge cars were in Forza 3, are gone, except for one, in Forza 4. Pirelli is the flagship sponsor for that series now.

To date, I'd categorize the monthly car packs as hodge-podge rag-tag clumps of random vehicles. Don't misunderstand, I've liked many of them though there hasn't been much of a theme.
I give you:
  • December IGN pack = F-150 SVT Raptor, 1988 Fiero GT, 1967 Chevelle, Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4, et al.
  • February ALMS pack = Rampage Jackson's Challenger, VW Polo GTI, Mustang Cobra R, et al.
If there is a Trans-Am pack waiting on their computers, Turn 10 could include 4 to 6 T-A legal cars and 6 to 4 other cars with a common connection. Correct, Turn 10 hasn't yet released monthly packs with a theme (other than in name only), though it's not a bad way to release expansion vehicles and they could make the change.

Ha ha ha! Awesome Smus! 3.987332. Bonus points for you, dude.

Previous versions of Forza Motorsport had offerings from other tuner makers, sold in their parent company makers (Lingenfelter & Callaway sold in Chevrolet, Hennessey sold in Dodge, Spoon sold in Honda). I'd also like to see Renntech added to your German tuning list.

I'm thinking you're spot on with this take. It would make sense to release cars now without the season pass to make more money, so maybe Porsche is just the tip of the iceberg...it would make sense to me to make a big splash in May with Porsche and hopefully bring out even more cars...like you said, Pirelli is huge for Forza's tire data but like you stated, there is no ALMS ZR1, and the World Challenge cars are gone...which have a lot of great cars.

Maybe we can even get some more tracks!

Right? If you look at the track wish list, there are some really solid tracks that a lot of people want. Like Spa, Bathurst, Mid-Ohio, etc. I know it takes them time to do the tracks, but if T10 needed help mapping tracks, i dont think they would lack people willing to help. Id gladly walk around BIR to get the data.

Did somebody mention tracks? Yes please!

Edited to include the fact Forza Motorsport has the 510.
In car news, a Trans-Am pack might be in the queue. This notion came to me while browsing the Internet. In the '60s and early '70s Trans-Am had two classes split at displacement. In '67 '68 and '69 Porsche took the lower class manufacturer's championship; Porsche returns to Forza Motorsport in May. Porsche competed against Alfa Romeo, Datsun, BMW, Morris Mini, Volvo, Lotus, and others. Forza Motorsport has the '60s vintage Alfa Romeo GTA, the BMW 2002, and the Datsun/Nissan 510. The addition of a Lotus Cortina and Morris Mini Cooper S with a handful of 5 liter cars and a few Japanese tuner cars would make for a pretty bitchin' pack and could appease a wide variety of people.

It's still rainin' here in Nor Cal, didn't stop rainin' until July last year.... but here in California girls tend to wear bikinis for no reason what so ever sometimes, even when it's winter

The plot thickens. The real Trans-Am series is coming back after a few-year nap, they have two events in late May (20th & 26th). We don't know that they are, though Turn 10 could totally seize the moment and augment the Porsche pack with cars that competed against Porsche in the U2 class.
